Movement in the Trees!

At the beginning of the year I relocated my workshop from Boulder CO to Thornton CO. The new workshop is a two-car garage which is solely mine (insert maniacal laughter here…) I spent awhile building new shop furniture, acquiring more machines and getting the layout just right. Now, I’m back up an running. Here are some pics and golden-worded commentary of the result.

Here is the new workbench. Its much smaller than my previous one but much heavier.

Sorta organized work area - Not sure what’s up with the weird angles on the photo. I assure you that it looks normal in person.

A lot of the materials used in the shop build out are reused and up cycled. One example is this cabinet (or is it a side table?) that I’m using to store a lot of Shopsmith accessories.

The Shopsmith ‘Hydra’ - Dual headstocks power a bandsaw and belt sander. Can you believe the left headstock was made in 1955?!
